At YMI Insurance, community connection and a little friendly competition are two of our favorite things. Last night, our very own Erica and Modesty brought both to the Lehigh Valley Young Professional Councils’ Cornhole Night, proudly repping YMI as “The Cornhole Queens!”
A Night of Near Wins and Big Laughs
The competition was fierce, but our Queens played with heart. They kicked off the evening with a nail-biter, losing the first round by just one point. Not to be discouraged, they came back swinging—landing three bags in a row to win their second match in spectacular fashion. The third and final game tested their mettle: after taking a strong 9-1 lead, the tides turned, and they handed over the win in a dramatic finish. While the scoreboard may not have favored YMI in the end, the night was a clear win in every other way.
Food, Beats, and Brews
The event wasn’t just about the games. Erica and Modesty enjoyed delicious bites from the Worldly Q food truck, a perfect pairing with the soundtrack provided by DJ Queue, who kept the energy high all evening. After the final toss, they toasted the night with refreshing drinks at Weyerbacher Brewing in Easton—because every great team deserves a celebratory sip!
Connecting with Fellow Young Professionals
Beyond the fun and food, Erica and Modesty took full advantage of the evening’s biggest opportunity: connecting with other emerging leaders across the Lehigh Valley. They met fellow young professionals from a range of industries, swapped stories, exchanged insights, and built relationships that could lead to future collaborations.
